Alexie Wray is the Director of Education for J’adore Hair/Elite9 and has designed a one and a 2 day course. The course teaches several Hair Extension methods and Hair replacement units.

The Hair Extension services are now part of the UK Hairdressing qualifications, Alexie is a fully qualified City& Guilds Hair Extension/Hair replacement trainer.

All methods taught are currently commercial applications using the most innovative and up to date applications, ensuring the Hair Extension service is quick, easy, affordable and profitable to the salon and customer.

Advanced master weaving:  This course is designed for professionals with experience in weaving. This 2 day course will teach Learners three different weaving techniques.

Method1: Latch Hook weaving

Method2:  Full Lace weaving/ lace frontal weaving and application, this is similar to toupee

Method3: Net weaving. Suitable for clients who have bold patches or alopecia. Learners will be taught how to implement their own closure to suit the client.

THERMAL BONDING: BEGINNERS
Thermal bonding or Micro Bonding is the most traditional European application method.  This course comprises theory and practical sessions, teaching up two different methods of thermal bonding.

Method 1: Micro/Thermal bonding.
Learners apply single strand operator method using, a resin dispenser (glue gun).  This method is often known as micro or thermal bonding. And can be used to create length, highlights or volume.

Method 2: Pro-styles Thermal bonding. This technique is traditionally used for European and Afro Caribbean hair extension application methods.  Using a heat clamp to apply hair extensions strand by strand to the natural hair.  There is no resin used. Pro-styles bonding are great for overall length and volume or simply to add highlights to natural hair.

SEW ON WEAVING: BEGINNERS

You will learn the skills of applying Hair Extensions by using three different hair extensions techniques. The aim of this course is to create hair extensions, by adding hair extensions to the client’s natural hair. By using a needle and sewing techniques. Hair weaving is achieved by using good sewing skills, stitching with different needles and thread. The weaving hair extension method is popular with European and African Caribbean woman, but is suitable for all hair types.

Learners are taught three styles of weaving:

Method 1: cornrow

Method 2: Full Head weave

Method 3: Euro weaves

The assement methods we use for learners are hands on practical assignments, while constantly using observation.  We use demonstrations, with a wide range of techniques. Learners observe demonstrations on the correct use of Hair Extension equipment.

I constantly evaluate learners throughout the course, implementing practical assignments. Learners are given journals which we find is an effective tool, so learners can record important data for future reference. We use handouts, and demonstrations asking questions constantly to evaluate the learner’s development and knowledge.

We keep written reports of Learners assessment and achievements.
